Especially with such impressive, sad, poetic cover of Kurt as a fallen angel broken into tears. Even the artist comments cobajn the last couple of pages that if Courtney is unhappy with his rendering of her, to let him know and he'd change the drawings around to please her.
I would totally read a comic about Amy Winehouse.
If you can hack the fact that this graphic novel was never meant to be biographically accurate, and more a psychological profile of Kurt's development throughout his life, then read this book.
Legg and McCarthy are talented writers. A troubled person that finally got their early exit. It's definitely worth one read through, at least. I think this is an interesting book - it never would have occurred to be to cobaon a comic about Kurt Cobain, but it does work.
And this may have been the point - the Greek tragedy of the rock star. I thought that was so creative and awesome. Anyway, the artwork and narrative presented are well suited to capturing that fragment of Kurt's essence, where myth and fact mingle. I loved the artwork in this graphic novel but I was disappointed with the spelling and the occasional missing word.

The art is pretty. I guess it was because of this reason I was able to enjoy this graphic novel cobbain lot more than those who were ex I'd wanted to read this book ever since it came out, but never had the money as a kid and eventually forgot.
This took me back to age 13 and both my 13 year old self and my older self of the moment were disgusted by this rendition of Cobain's career. Maybe a part of me was wishing it would end with Kurt on a tropical island with the other members of Club 27, chilling with Amy and Janis, like in that Heineken commercial.

It's a little hard to rate this book fairly. Obviously the story itself wasn't entirely correct but I enjoyed it for what it was. A very good graphic biography chronicling the short life of Kurt Cobain.

I don't dig the artist trying to kiss her ass at the end with the sketched images, but that's neither here nor there. How do I get this book so I can read it. The script draws from the singer's tortured self-image as well as straightforward biographical fact.
I've always been a fan of comics. I liked it and I'm not even a Nirvana fan.
